Stir Releases ‘Milf on the Shilf’ Campaign
Stir, the Match Group dating app for single parents, has released a series of seasonal videos featuring actress Busy Philipps. She plays the ‘Milf on the Shilf’, reminding single parents that it’s ok to focus on themselves and date during the holiday season.
The new campaign highlights the work single parents are putting in for Christmas, but reminds them to have fun as well.
Philipps, who plays the character ‘Milf on a Shilf’ (a parody on the Elf on the Shelf tradition), points out that single parents are focused on creating a fun Christmas for their children. However, they should also take time to have fun and go on dates.
“Single parents are running themselves ragged to make things magical and special for their kids,” said Busy.
“As a single parent you often feel depleted, and have to remind yourself that it’s ok to have a flirtation and meet someone for a drink to reconnect with the part of yourself that exists outside of being a parent”, she added.
“Allowing yourself to feel vital, like an actual person, makes you a better parent. Then you don’t just feel like you’re at the service of little people who you are trying to grow”, the Cougar Town and ER actress highlighted.
