Vinylly Expands to the UK
Vinylly, the dating app for music lovers, has launched in the UK. After seeing tens of thousands of downloads in North America, the platform is now supporting British singles as they search for someone with a similar music taste.
Vinylly is now free to download on the UK Apple App Store, harnessing the power of music to bring people together. Whether it’s rock, pop, electronic, or more, the dating platform connects people over shared musical tastes and passions.
It deploys music compatibility matching to help bring people together, as well as enabling users to create their own personalised playlists to share with others. Furthermore, Vinylly enables users to pick up upcoming concert tickets within the app.
“We are thrilled to introduce Vinylly to the UK marketplace,” said Rachel Van Nortwick, CEO of Vinylly. “By combining the excitement of online dating with the power of music, we believe we have created a truly immersive and engaging experience for music lovers looking for a meaningful connection.”
Van Nortwick created the platform after recognising the influence of music in compatibility, opting to create an app that connects people over deeper traits, as opposed to superficial profiles.
“I have always thought a dating app should be substance over superficial. We focus on authenticity where users can be themselves and can easily connect with others using their music DNA, and that’s especially important in today’s world, where YPulse data shows music is the number one thing young people use to express themselves”, added Van Nortwick.
The platform shared that its growing popularity is partly due to the rise of streaming services, renewed interest in vinyl records, the return of in-person music events, and the overall fatigue towards online dating.
Vinylly is now available on the UK Apple App Store, and will be launching on the UK Google Play Store soon.
