Hinge

The app, which offers tailored friend of a friend matching, has grown steadily throughout the US, regularly launching in new cities as the app’s user base grows.

At the end of last year, they raised a further $12m in series A funding, taking their total investment to $20.5m.

The company says their user base has grown by 500% since last January, and said that 95% of growth was from word-of mouth-referrals.

And now Hinge is launching across the Atlantic, in London.

The dating app are celebrating with a private launch party at The Mondrian on 12th February.

To attend the party, which has an open bar and DJ, you must download the app and get an RSVP code.

Earlier in the week, Hinge publicised that activity on the app spiked during the blizzard that hit the north east of America – seeing a 27% jump in activity.

Users also logged into the app more times that day – opening Hinge 4.75 times per person.
