Dateability Enables Profile Verification

Dateability, the dating app designed for the disabled and chronically ill communities, has launched a profile verification feature. Users will also be able to gently request other users to complete the verification process as well.

To let potential matches that you’re the “real deal”, Dateability users now have the option to verify that they are the person in their photos, shared co-founder Jacqueline Child.

To complete verification, users submit three photos where they model certain poses. If these photos match the ones on their profile, they will be verified and receive a badge on their profile.

The dating platform also added new options in terms of locations and matching. By accessing their settings, users will now have the choice between seeing users within a 100-mile radius, or across the entire platform.

Dateability was created as “people with disabilities and chronic illness often encounter ableism on other dating apps”, it explained.

The platform understands this and it “created a safe and accepting space to create meaningful connections for people with physical, intellectual, and psychiatric disabilities”.
