Bumble Expands Spotify Integration
Bumble has announced that it will be expanding its integration with Spotify to enhance user profiles. A new feature will show a newly matched couple any favourite musical artists that they have in common.
TechCrunch explains that this new feature will have plenty of options so any embarrassing / guilty pleasure musical artists won’t be visible to matches. Bumble users will be able to edit the visibility of their Top 50 artists and even unlink their Spotify account.
Bumble shared that the majority of US users have already linked their Spotify account with their dating app profile, with this especially popular among Gen Z.
“Despite the popular belief that opposites attract, research has consistently shown that having similarities in important areas, such as values and lifestyles, is actually the key to a successful romantic relationship,” said Bumble’s Sex and Relationships Expert Shan Boodram.
“Discovering that you and a potential romantic partner love the same artist is a fun and fast way to establish common ground, plus it provides a natural segue to start other important conversations around each person’s priorities and passions,” Boodram added.
