Hinge Appoints New CPO and Safety Leader
Hinge has announced that Stéphane Taine will join the dating platform as its new Chief Product Officer. Also joining is Jeff Dunn, who will be the platform’s new Vice President of Trust, Safety, and Support.
Taine previously worked at Meta where he was the Head of Product Management for Messenger.
The platform shared that in this new role, Taine will “lead the product organization as the company continues to grow, and the team prioritizes safety, AI innovation, and continued expansion into new international markets”.
“Hinge’s dedication to ensuring anyone looking for love, regardless of where they live or their identity, is deeply meaningful to me,” said Taine.
“Technology has the power to help us achieve some of our most important goals – like finding a fulfilling relationship. As I step into this role, I am exhilarated by the opportunity to help shape the future of people finding connection”, he added.
In his previous role at Meta, Taine oversaw the strategy which drove users towards meaningful conversations daily, and managed significant trust and safety initiatives. Some of the features he developed include Group Video Chat, AR effects, and Watch Together.
Their other new hire, Jeff Dunn, shared on LinkedIn that his new role involves the task of “building innovative ways to protect people both online and in-person”.
Before joining Hinge, Dunn spent 7 years at Google, where he was Head of Partnerships and Policy Communications for Google Trust & Safety.
