HubStars Launches ID Verification on Excite Platform

HubStars has announced the introduction of a new age and identity verification system on its ‘Excite’ platform.

The update will allow users to have their profile validated in a quick and easy manner. If they pass the verification checks a blue tick is added to their profile to prove to potential matches that they are genuine.

‘Excite’ supports HubStars’ casual and hookup platforms, so the company has confirmed that age verification will be mandatory for all users who want to share any explicit content. This will help to protect underage individuals from being exposed to inappropriate pictures and videos.

Financial services company Mastercard has introduced new explicit content requirements so HubStars has made a conscious effort to comply with these updates.

Banks that connect merchants to the Mastercard network will have to certify that the seller of such content has effective controls in place to monitor, block and, where necessary, take down all illegal content.

By uploading proof of identification, Hubstars members will qualify for the new free verified status to help ensure no minors appear on the sites, as well as reducing the likelihood of catfishing.

HubStars launched its new Next-Gen platforms in July, which are helping the company target a wider range of the dating industry and maintain a stronger focus on building and nurturing communities.

Affinity and Excite, HubStars’ mainstream and casual dating platforms, have been updated with new core features, mobile lead design, improved speed and performance, and better user experience and usability.
